Joyalukkas gold rate today in Nagercoil

Joyalukkas gives its showrooms one 22 carat rate for each state it trades in, and Nagercoil is in Tamil Nadu. Its online store is priced at a separate rate, which stood at ₹15,584 a gram for 24K, ₹14,285 for 22K and ₹11,688 for 18K on 19 September 2026. These are rates for the metal alone. A piece adds Joyalukkas' making charges, any stones and 3% GST, as the illustration below shows.

Joyalukkas sells gold, diamond, platinum and precious-stone jewellery, in everyday, office-wear, contemporary, gifting, children's and regional ranges. Ear piercing is offered at some showrooms rather than all, so ask this one before you go. It will also check whether a particular design is in stock if you call.

Joyalukkas 916 HUID hallmarking and purity

Joyalukkas says its gold is 100% HUID 916 hallmarked, which is 22 carat. Kanyakumari district has been under mandatory BIS hallmarking since 2021. Check the six-character HUID on the piece in the BIS Care app before you pay: it names the jeweller and the assaying centre that marked it. Where the app and the mark disagree, BIS gives the buyer a route.

It also promises assured lifetime maintenance, tested and certified diamonds and insurance on the jewellery it sells. Ask for the diamond certificate with the piece, and for the maintenance and insurance terms in writing on the bill.

Joyalukkas online shopping and catalogue prices

Joyalukkas sells online at joyalukkas.in, and every listing there prints its own price breakup. The 72 pieces of 22 carat gold listed across its catalogue on 19 September 2026 were priced from ₹9,545 to ₹5,89,392, at ₹14,285 a gram for the gold.

Those prices move with the rate and with the catalogue. What a showroom stocks is not what the website lists, and the showroom's own tag is priced at the Tamil Nadu showroom rate above. Multiply a piece's net weight by that rate for its gold value, then estimate the bill with the making charge you are quoted.

Joyalukkas making charges: how a piece is priced

Joyalukkas bills a piece in four lines: the metal, at its net weight times the rate for its purity; the stones, where a piece has them; the making charges; and 3% GST on the three together. The grand total is rounded to the rupee. Its making charge is a percentage of the gold value, not a figure per gram, so it rises with the rate. Where a quote carries a wastage line as well, both figures belong in the comparison.

69 of those 72 pieces sat between 15% and 25% of the gold value, and 22% was the middle figure; one necklace carried 48%. The spread is why two pieces of the same weight can differ by tens of thousands of rupees at one rate.

Each point of making charge is ₹1,121 on a pavan at this rate, before GST, which is the figure to carry into any comparison once both quotes are read on the same charge basis. Ask for the piece's making charge as a percentage of its gold value, and for the estimate with the net weight, the rate, the charge and any stones on separate lines. The 3% GST is charged on all of them together. No rule fixes a making charge, so a quote from another of the Nagercoil jewellery showrooms is the figure to carry into that comparison.

Joyalukkas gold scheme

Joyalukkas runs four jewellery purchase plans. Two save cash and two fix the weight of gold your payment buys on the day you pay it. All four are redeemed at a showroom, not online, from the 300th day and within 345 days of joining, and each takes a share off the making charge rather than off the gold.

The waiver is a ceiling, not a discount on the whole charge: on a piece tagged above it you pay the difference, so a 22% charge under a plan that waives 20% still costs 2%. Leave a plan early and you get less: between the 180th and the 300th day, up to 9%. On diamond and precious-stone pieces the plans take 75% or 60% off the making charge and 25% off the stone value.

Before you join a Joyalukkas gold scheme

• "What is the tag making charge on the piece I want?" The waiver is capped, so the charge on the tag decides what the plan is worth. Its own listings ran from 8% to 48%.
• "Does the plan fix the rate or the weight?" Under the two cash plans the rate on the day of sale applies, so a rising rate buys less gold. The two weight-fix plans freeze the weight each payment buys.
• "What happens to anything I spend above the plan?" The waiver covers only the amount saved: on a ₹1,00,000 piece bought with a ₹50,000 plan, the other ₹50,000 carries the full charge.
• "What do I pay on top?" The advance earns no interest, and GST is yours at delivery.
• "Can I use a showroom offer as well?" Its brochure says scheme benefits cannot be combined with a running showroom offer, and that the passbook must be produced to redeem.

Joyalukkas returns, exchange and old gold

A piece can be returned for a full refund, or exchanged for 100% of its invoice value, within 14 days, at any Joyalukkas showroom in India or through its website. Bring the original bill and certificate: losing the certificate or invoice costs ₹500. Coins and bars, gift cards, customised ornaments, gold nose pins and loose gemstones cannot be returned.

On an exchange, Joyalukkas values coins and gold jewellery at 100% of its published rate, and a diamond piece at that plus 90% of the diamond's invoice value. The making charge, the other stones and the GST you paid carry no exchange value. On the chain above that is ₹23,544 of its ₹1,38,339 price, or 17% of what you paid.

For old gold, its buyback terms value the net weight at the prevailing gold rate and then apply a standard rate deduction to the gold component, without saying what that deduction is; its showroom page advertises zero-deduction gold exchange. Ask at the counter which applies to your piece and have the answer on the bill, and work out what your old gold is worth first.

Diamonds in an old piece are valued at 100% of the prevailing diamond rate against new diamond jewellery and 80% against cash or gold, uncut diamonds at 80% and 70%, precious stones at 50%, and platinum at 90% against gold and 80% against cash. Birth stones and semi-precious and synthetic stones are not bought back. The buyback terms apply at a showroom only, not on its website or app.
